a boutique architecture studio based in Charleston, SC. We specialize in the design of residences, restaurants, and retreats that seek to positively impact the lives of those who experience them.

We want to create good architecture. Which, according to us, is rooted in a highly communicative and collaborative design process that we’ve developed over the course of a decade working across the southeast. We find inspiration in a project’s context (natural, historical, and cultural), but also enjoy the process of indentifying a specific feeling that our client seeks to evoke in their space. As a result, our projects have no set style - they exist as the culmination of many honest conversations regarding what we determinine to be appropriate and meaningful responses to their specific circumstances.

stems from Eric’s education at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) where he earned his M.Arch studying southeastern vernacular architecture and how to apply its inherent qualities to new work in an effort to create modern, sustainable architecture that is of its place. Since then, we’ve had the privilege of working across a wide variety of projects including (but not limited to) residences, mixed-use developments, restaurants, boutique hotels, retail spaces, offices, and public spaces of all sizes and budgets. Work that we have designed and managed  (through previous firms) have won multiple AIA and IIDA awards for design excellence, preservation, and adaptive reuse.

Core to our success is the high value that we place on our empathy towards our clients and a project’s end users alongside our open communication throughout the design process. We want every project to be the best that it can be, not for the sake of putting it into our portfolio, but to be involved in the process of creating something with lasting positive impact on its community.
